Yves Rocher vintage costume jewelry
The iconic French brand Yves Rocher is perhaps one of the most famous cosmetic companies, with products that every second woman is familiar with. There are no people indifferent to this brand, you can either love it or simply not know – there is no third way. The secret is in the combination of high quality and French flair. However, not everyone knows that along with perfumery, the company began creating costume jewelry (in 1970s) with the YR marking and sold it in its boutiques.
Noteworthy, very often, that jewelry in a box or velvet bag was a gift when buying perfumery and cosmetics. The wonderful tradition of giving gifts to customers made it possible not only to get acquainted with costume jewelry of this brand, but also to become its owner. It could be a set of jewelry, consisting, for example, of a necklace, a ring and earrings with natural river pearls or semi-precious stones.
Yves Rocher (April 7, 1930 – December 26, 2009) was born in the province of Brittany, where his father worked as a hat maker. The boutique was located on the ground floor of the house where the Roche family lived. This is where Roche’s strong business instinct was born. In 1959, he created a cosmetics company, giving it his own name. Not having large-scale production and big money, but possessing a strong desire, Yves Rocher decided to conquer the country. The plan was simple: he began publishing advertisements in the national press and selling his wonder cream by mail. In 1969, Roche opened his first store.
