St. Petersburg based artist jeweler Vera Yurieva creates stained glass jewelry and art objects. She works in her studio creating wonderful and touching decorations, as well as many other beautiful things. According to Vera, she became interested in jewelry in her childhood. After graduating from art school, she enrolled in the Saint – Petersburg Roerich Art University. In addition, she studied art history. However, the fascination with stained glass jewelry began more than ten years ago, when she found a job in a stained glass workshop.
In her stained glass ornaments Vera uses real glass that is cooked and cast into sheets. She also worked with stones and other materials. According to the designer herself, “I did not choose stained glass technique, it chose me. The confluence of circumstances.”

One stained glass jewellery piece takes her from one hour to several months, if for example, it is a large stained glass window. Ideas for inspiration often come at night, so she often has to work at night in her art studio in the Mansard.

All her work is unique, and there is no identical works. As the author herself says, inspiration – it is something inexplicable. More often than not making this up. Ideas appear themselves and their incredibly much. Yet it is some association. For example, for a spot, a fragment of something, mood and so the images appear. No doubt inspired by works of art, people.

In addition to jewelry, Vera loves to travel, to dance Argentine tango, and photograph.
