The history of Van Dell costume jewellery began in 1935, in Providence, Rhode Island. This is a well-made mid-century jewelry, with a beautiful design, high quality and collectible. The company produced exquisite costume jewellery from silver, 12-carat gold and rhinestones, cultured pearls and semi-precious stones, ivory, and Austrian crystals.
Like many of the designers of the mid-20th century, the Van Dell first signed their decorations in 1939. Also, the company used several different marks on their products. In particular, Van Dell 1/20 12K GF, or Van Dell Sterling, and simply Van Dell. The company went through ups and downs, including changes of owners. Noteworthy, the last owner of registered in 1991 Van Dell trademark was Bidz.com, Inc. However, another trademark information states that since 1991 the owner of trademark was Richline Group, Inc. According to both sources, Van Dell ceased operations in 2016.
