Signed Meesco Vintage Costume Jewelry
Founded in 1975 by Thomas Mees, Mees Сo Inc was a family owned business on retail and manufacture of costume jewelry and novelties. The California based company made costume jewelry in limited quantities for no more than two decades. The marking on the back of the products includes “Meesco” in capital letters and the copyright sign, on a rectangular cartouche.
Handmade from gold-tone metal alloy with multi-colored enamels and rhinestones, the design of the jewelry produced by the company is quite traditional. Basically, these are decorations with a Christmas theme – angels, Christmas trees, bells, wreaths, bows, gifts, etc. Also interesting is a series of animalistic jewelry – elephants, swans and cats, covered with black or white enamel. Made from high-quality materials, these cute decorations have stood the test of time and are a collector’s item.
