The history of the Janus jewelry brand spans about three decades, from the 1970s to the 1990s. These high-quality brooches, earrings and pendants showcase classic design, extraordinary crystal shine and filigree workmanship.
Meanwhile, searching for information on the Janus mark invariably leads to the Greek mythology. In particular, to the double-headed Greek looking toward the future while acknowledging the past. Also, the Greek style letters of the marking are not accidental. Thus, John C. Kulukundis, London-based jewelry dealer and designer of Greek origin, established his company Janus Jewels in 1972. With nearly 40 years of experience in the jewelry market, he has expanded his business of selling and buying fine jewelry all over the world.
Back to the 1970-80s, the company created exquisite costume jewelry, collaborating with talented designers. One of them was Mrs Sun Hwa Griffiths (South Korean, born in 1952). Accordingly, her jewelry items carry the Cadari mark along with the Janus mark. Sun Hwa Griffiths registered her own jewelry trademark Cadari London in 1992. Talented designer, she became renowned for her individual handmade style, high quality, finest Austrian crystals, metal and silver jewelry.
Noteworthy, the last activity on Cadari Facebook page was in December 2016, and Cadari website is not available now.
Of course, there are several trade marks of the same name for the production of costume jewelry. However, the years of registration, the labeling style and the design have nothing to do with featured here brand. For example, the Canadian trademark Janus, registered in 1983 in Toronto, Ontario, which labeling differs in style.
