Signed Cam Ber Vintage Costume Jewelry
The history of the Italian jewelry manufacturing and wholesale company Cam – Ber SNC, located in the city of Vicenza, began in 1985 and ended in 2005. SNC in the name of the Italian company means Società in nome collettivo – a general partnership in Italian corporate law.
The Cam Ber jewelers used high-quality materials, including 800 silver, sometimes 925 (as a rule, 925 silver is less common in Italian jewelry). According to the stamp (a star 918 VI inside a hexagonal rectangle), the designers used 22 K gold (918), and VI stands for the Italian town of Vincenza. Studded with cubic zirconia and natural gems, the jewelry pieces also have Cam Ber mark on a rectangular cartouche with rounded edges.
In the 1980s and 1990s, the animalistic theme was especially acute, and many jewelry companies worked to support endangered species of animals and birds on our planet. The Italian company CAM-BER SNC also contributed to the protection of animals by creating a collection of endangered species of animals, birds and fish, embodied in brooches, earrings, pendants and necklaces. Other collections of the brand included classic, Art Deco and fashion style pieces with bow, flower and heart designs.
