Signed Brooks vintage costume jewelry
Founded in 1932, the American costume jewelry company Brooks (Natacha) LTD operated for about three decades, until the 1960s. Traditionally, jewelers of the company used sterling silver, vermeil gold, fine gold-tone wire, as well as art glass and faux pearls. Elegant design, high quality, detailing and craftsmanship distinguish all jewelry from this brand. One of the most impressive became the series of brooches and earrings inspired by Russian Ballet and in particular, Russian ballerina Anna Pavlova.
Noteworthy, the earlier pieces had marking “Natacha”, or “Natacha Brooks” and “sterling”, while later items included “Brooks” and a copyright sign (since 1955). Considered collectible, these decorations are rare, and their price will increase every year.
