Signed BC Bernard Chaudron vintage modernist jewelry

The history of the Canadian jewelry brand Bernard Chaudron began in Montreal in the mid-1960s and has spanned over 60 years. Initially, it was a family business run by a self-taught designer, silversmith and sculptor, French-born Bernard Henri Chaudron (1931-2013) and his wife (enamel artist) Louise Chaudron.
Chaudron handcrafted modernist and abstract designs in a variety of metals including sterling silver, gold, bronze, pewter, also using enamel and genuine pearls. The designer marked his pieces with his initials BC and sometimes hand-engraved them.
Later, his son Antoine founded Atelier Bernard Chaudron Inc at 1440 Rue des Hauteurs Val-David J0T 2N0 Québec, Canada (1979). As the company’s president, he successfully continued the family business. In 1995 he opened a branch of the company with the trade names Chaudron Pewter, Etain Chaudron, Gravure Et Trophees Chaudron, and Les Etains fin De Val-David.
Noteworthy, in addition to unique and high-quality jewelry, the company’s craftsmen made metal products and art objects of museum value. Today, exhibited in museums and sold at auctions, Bernard Chaudron modernist jewelry is of great value to collectors.
