Sapphire Kaleidoscope
Originated from Greek word “sappheiros”, it is a blue stone, one of the varieties of the mineral corundum, precious stone of different hues. One of the four major precious stones, rock and soul of autumn, it is an indicator of female constancy. Also, a symbol of virginity, love of truth and goodness, purity of conscience and remorse. In addition to the usual blue color, Sapphire can be orange, yellow, green and pink (called “Fancy sapphire”) and colorless (“leuco-sapphire”). Highly prized as “star” varieties of sapphire with a vivid effect of asterism (star-shaped appearance of the figure in light of the crystal).

Great Russian writer Kuprin once said: “Some of them are similar to the color of cornflowers in wheat, the others to the autumn sky, some to sea in clear weather.”

More transparent than the glass, harder than the metal,

HEALING PROPERTIES of Sapphires
Sapphire has long been endowed with numerous mystical and magical powers, especially stones with 3 or 6 overlapping beams. Three intersecting beams are associated with the great powers – Faith, Hope, Love.

In ancient Rome, as elsewhere, the sapphire was considered a stone of purity, Stone Virgin Vestal. In medieval culture, women leading a frivolous life, were strictly prohibited to wear sapphires and turquoise.
