The exclusivity of Renoir-Matisse jewellery is still in the fact that their origin and existence harmoniously flourished in a short period – from the 1930s to the 1960s. Jerry Fels began his career in the company “Sceptron Jewelry”, in 1944, where he worked on the creation of original costume jewelry. In these difficult war and postwar years, young people particularly appreciated the beauty and dreams of self-expression, about which actually dreamed talent of Sceptron Jewelry – Jerry Fels. He had just finished his teaching in the National Academy of Art and, without hesitation, in 1946, still decided to build in his hometown of Los Angeles, a private company – Renoir of California, which specialized in the production of exquisite jewelry from copper.
