The history of Selro Jewelry Mfg. Co spans a rather short period of not more than two decades, 1950-70′. According to art historians, Paul Selenger was personally involved in the design of jewelry. High quality production, incredibly innovative design and rare talent of businessman Paul Selenger brought success to the company. Born in 1911 in Odessa into the family of an ordinary tailor, Paul Selenger emigrated from Russia to New York City in 1927.
As we know, 1927 was the height of the American depression. Luckily, young Paul and his sister Fanny began to work in the jewelry store of their uncle. Having received American citizenship in 1942, Paul Selenger served in the Marine Corps of the US Army, and continued to serve in North Africa and Japan. Only in 1948, Sergeant Salinger returned to civilian life.

Based in Germany, Russian jewelry designer Olga Pasynkova is a Member of International Organization for Self-Representing Artists. For over 15 years she had been engaged in computer design, before she changed her focus to jewelry design and glass beads in lampwork technique. This activity since 2011 has become her second profession, and full-time work. In 2014 she attended jewelry courses “Die verlorene Form – Das Wachsschmelzverfahren”.
Olga’s fabulous jewelry is unique, gentle and graceful. Each of her bead and jewelry piece is made with love and a good mood. According to Olga, her garden is the main source of inspiration for her creativity. Olga loves flowers (roses and orchids are her favorite), and she prefers floral designs. Second source of her inspiration is the sea. She loves underwater world and seascapes. She creates glass tales, in which she believes.
Now Olga lives with her family in Munich, Germany. She sells her works worldwide. She is a member of the International organization of independent lampworkers, and International Organization for Self-Representing Artists.
