American actress, author, businesswoman, style expert and television star Linda Dano (née Linda Rae Wildermuth on May 12, 1943) founded “Linda Dano Inc” in 1987. A year later, she launched her second brand “Sensations by Linda Dano Ltd”. Her company, registered on New York’s 5th Avenue, had been in business for about a decade. In early 1990s she used to sell her clothing, perfume, accessories and jewelry pieces through free-to-air television network, cable shopping channel QVC. Also, she sold her jewelry through her eBay store.
Noteworthy, many American jewelry companies have moved their production to China. It started in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Linda Dano jewelry collections, including interchangeable charm earrings, were handcrafted both in the USA and China. Accordingly, markings on made in the USA jewelry include “Linda Dano” in script, and sometimes “Made in the USA”, while Chinese marking includes Linda Dano in block letters and “Made in China”.
