Born on August 11, 1973 in Panama City, Florida, Carolyn Murphy has become an iconic American face. At a young age she worked as a waitress at the beach cafe. When Carolyn was 16 years old, her mother enrolled her in modeling school. The girl took part in the shooting in Florida, then in Paris and Japan. In 1991, after graduating from high school, Murphy moved to New York where she attended the University of Virginia.
Meanwhile, in her free time, she moonlighted as a model and was noticed by “Women Model Management» scout.
In the early 90s Murphy participated in advertising campaigns of such brands as Missoni, Et Vous, and Gucci.
Shot for Prada in 1994, Murphy took part in the photo session for Harper’s Bazaar US and Vogue US.

Also, in 1999 she starred in a photo shoot for a special issue of Vogue US «Millennium”. Photographer Annie Leibovitz captured Carolyn Murphy along with other super models. In particular, Iman, Claudia Schiffer, Cindy Crawford, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Kate Moss, Lauren Hutton, Paulina Porizkova, Patti Hansen, and many others.
The model appeared on the covers of such fashion magazines as Vogue and Harper’s Bazaar. In December 2000, Carolyn Murphy gave birth to a daughter, Dylan. And the next year she became the face of Estee Lauder, signing a contract for $ 3 million. The same year she came to the podium in the autumn and winter fashion show of haute couture Versace.
She divorced Jake Schroeder in 2002, and from 2002 to 2005 was in a relationship with musician Brandon Boyd. The list of haute couture houses where she modeled includes such names as Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Anna Sui, Michael Kors, Karl Lagerfeld, Tom Ford, and many more.
