Cini vintage costume jewelry
The history of Cini Jewelry Company began in Boston in 1922, founded by Guglielmo Cini, an Italian jeweler from Florence. Among most notable designs were zodiac line and crosses in sterling silver created in the 1946. Traditionally, Guglielmo worked with silver and gold, and since the 1950s he used art glass imitating natural stones. The company flourished and expanding the business moved to Laguna Beach California in 1957.
Noteworthy, in 1972 Guglielmo founded the eponymous company Guglielmo Cini Inc headquartered in California. But in 1979 he died.
However, his wife, along with her partner Felipe Mendoza, continued the business. Felipe Mendoza was a student of Guglielmo Cini and had been running his business for 45 years.
Guglielmo Cini once said: “In the world of mass production, everyone wants to have something for the soul.” Indeed, we all get tired of the standard, and vintage jewelry created by Ciner – products with character.
Current status of Guglielmo Cini Inc – dissolved.
