The history of ultra premium brand «Cindy Chao The Art Jewel» began in 2004. Jewelry made by the renowned Hong Kong based jewelry designer Cindy Chao is popular with Hollywood celebrities. Besides, major museums of art exhibit her works, and well known jewellery auctions sell her “Best of the Best” designs at highest prices. And most popular fashion magazines, such as Vogue, Tatler, Harper’s BAZAAR, and Forbes, feature Cindy Chao finest “craftsmanship that tops the world”.
However, this was her mother, who advised Cindy to find her own way in the jewelry design. And, picking up the wax, Cindy began to create. To the choice of creative way also contributed family heritage. From grandfather architect Cindy learned spatial perception of objects, and has adopted a sculptural technique from a sculptor father. All of these skills help her create perfect, like living jewelry trinkets that reproduce natural images.

In April 2013, Cindy Chao opened a gallery of “layers, volume and movement jewelry” in Beijing. Now Cindy Chao boutiques opened in Beijing, Hong Kong, New York and Taipei.

Traditionally, her ultra premium jewellery includes natural images – flowers, plants, butterflies, etc. Since 2008, the craftsmen create new butterflies every year. According to the designer, Butterfly is a symbol of metamorphosis. “Remembered for their grace and elegant flight butterflies pass a lot of steps, in their short life. Therefore, the annual creation of new masterpieces symbolizes that the brand itself undergoes metamorphosis and develops. This applies both to the artistic style and the level of skill and mastery of technique.”
