The history of American jewelry brand BSK lasted for three decades, from 1948 until the early 1980s. New York based company received name from the initials of the founders: Benny Steinberg, Slovitt and Kaslo. Traditionally, BSK jewelers used colored enamel, Aurora Borealis rhinestone, and imitation of pearls. They made most of the products in the technique of brushing (causing small cuts on the metal surface). Due to low prices, decorations of BSK enjoyed incredible popularity in postwar America. Currently BSK ornaments are collectible.
Keychain was a gift set for a narrow circle of persons invited to the premiere of the film “My Fair Lady” with Audrey Hepburn in the title role. Broadway premiere of the musical took place on March 15, 1956, and it was decided that the musical “My Fair Lady” will be filmed.
