Then she married and started working as a head of the department of advertising in the local newspaper. However, just after the birth of her first daughter Erica in 1991, she started creating from beads. According to Sherry, she prefers to stay at home with her daughter, instead of working in the advertising department.
Noteworthy, beadwork became her profession in 1997. This is the only medium to which she has remained faithful, and does not see the end of her passion for beaded art. Her work often appears on the covers of famous bead magazines. She won prizes at various competitions, presented by major companies of beaded jewelry.
Such celebrities as Steven Tyler of the legendary rock band Aerosmith and Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas wear her jewelry. Today, she lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, daughters, Erica and Nikki and two dogs.
Traditionally, Sherry uses beads, gemstones, and felt as a base. Seldom working from sketches, most of her designs are born spontaneously, thanks to imagination. Some pieces take her a year to complete.
