Avon vintage costume jewelry
The internationally renowned company, Avon began its activity in 1886, while the history of Avon costume jewelry began in 1962. At first, it represented the perfume, and for the first time in history gave women the opportunity to earn money by doing what they like. Consultants offered cosmetics and perfumes, and in 1962 there was a jewelry as a free gift to purchase. And in 1970, after numerous requests of clients, Avon Products Inc. launched a line of jewelry trademarks.
The very first collection of the company was called The Precious Pretenders. Large advertising campaign in America has made these ornaments very popular with women. Jewellery pieces were characterized by brilliant cut stone, fancy filigree appearance, covered with gold leaf, and looked very expensive and exquisite. And a few years later Avon jewellery had a strong position among the most popular manufacturers of jewelry.
For Avon worked such famous brands as Ungaro and Swarovski, Centennial, Trifari and WN. Also, the most famous jewelry lines include KJL for Avon (1986-1990s), Barrera for Avon (1989-1996). In addition, from 1993 to 1997, Hollywood star Elizabeth Taylor herself released several lines of jewelry with her name in collaboration with Avon designers. 1993-1997 – Elizabeth Taylor for AvonJewelry Trademarks owned by Avon Products since 1970
