Ahlers Designs Wearable Jewelry Art
Born in New York and raised in New Jersey, Gail Ahlers began making jewelry while still in high school. A 1985 graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, she went on to study art history in Paris and sculpture at the Instituto San Miguel de Allende in Mexico. Her knowledge, craftsmanship, and passion for creating led her to start her own business at Hope Artiste Village in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Incorporated in 1989, her four-person company, Ahlers Designs, began creating jewelry and a wide range of gifts, including pill boxes, business card holders, writing sets, key rings, checkbook covers, jewelry boxes, and more.
Ahlers Designs’ exquisite jewelry is based on sculpture, lightweight metalwork, and bold colors. The designer uses a variety of materials – from 18-karat gold to recycled wood and metal. Gail’s unique jewelry demonstrates her skills as a jewelry designer, but more so as a talented artist. According to a many-awarded artist, designer, sculptor and teacher Gail Ahlers, she works hard, and the secret to her success is that she loves what she does.
Undoubtedly, artistic jewelry labeled Ahlers will decorate any jewelry lover’s collection, and their value will increase every year.
