The jewellery brand Les Bernard grew out of Vogue, founded in 1936 by Harold Shapiro. The Shapiro family sold their share of Vogue in 1962 and son of Harold, Bernard, and designer Lester Joy opened a new company in 1963 – “Les Bernard inc.” The company is considered a pioneer in the field of jewelry of high class design. Under the brand name Les Bernard created innovative decorations of crystal, glass, crystal, enamel, marcasites, silver and precious metal alloys. Those who once acquired decorations by Les Bernard, know that as a rule they are-all of high quality. Jewellery made in a variety of styles from Art Deco to Egypt. Les Bernard created jewelry for the series Dynasty for many years. Many ideas for the first time used by Les Bernard, can be seen in the products of Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and other famous brands. The company Les Bernard ceased to exist in 1996.
Internationally recognized fact – the company Les Bernard – a pioneer in jewelry design, used rhinestones with genuine marcasite, gold and silver coating along with the use of pure silver. The design used artificial pearls and turquoise beads Lucite, insertion of colored and clear glass jewellery.
