Talented bead work artist Doro Soucy creates unique hand crafted jewelry from seed beads, glass, gemstones and precious metals. For creating only one necklace “My Heart is Your Kaleidoscope” Doro Soucy used variety of gemstones – garnet, fuchsia chalcedony, cobalt blue chalcedony, purple agate, amethysts, chrysoprase, peridot, Peruvian opal, natural zircons in Margarita green, canary yellow quartz, and apatite blue cubic zirconia. Wearing her jewelry any woman can feel special as if she turned into a goddess or a queen. Inspiration for each design is based on art of ancient and vintage jewels.

Doro Soucy was born and raised in Bratislava, Slovakia. Since childhood the girl learned the arts from her mother, a historian. She grew up in an artistic atmosphere – their home was always visited by various artists, actors, poets, film makers, and singers. The time spent at her mother’s work in the Bratislava Castle wandering around the exhibits developed her artistic imagination. As child, she spent hours drawing beautiful women in fashionable clothes and accessories.

Fascinated with foreign cultures, Doro studied Chinese, Japanese, and Tibetan cultures in Vienna, Austria, and in Goettingen, Germany. She was drawn more to the world of fashion and arts than to their politics and linguistic side. As a hobby, she started experimenting with painting on silk and bead embroidery, painting on canvas with acrylic media. Currently the artist-jeweler lives with her husband and their two beautiful children in Dallas, Texas.
